RALPH POPE, DVM
Dr. Ralph Pope is a 1981 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. He is from Memphis and attended White Station High School where he played football, ran track and also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He is the owner of All Creatures Pet Hospital and has practiced in the Memphis area over 40 years. Dr. Pope is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (Canine/Feline Practice). This prestigious organization includes less than 1,000 members worldwide who have met the rigorous requirements and testing to be considered a diplomate. Dr. Pope's special interests include exotic animal medicine and surgery for birds, reptiles, and small mammals such as rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets. Outside of work activities include gardening, exercise and travel.
KASSI BOLAND
Kassi is known as “superstar” at our office. That’s because there is not an area where she doesn’t excel. A truly irreplaceable asset to our pet hospital. She and her husband Cody have a farm in Mississippi with a menagerie of goats, chickens, dogs, and cats. Kassi has been with us 10 years now and most clients know her on a first-name basis.
CONNOR WALEN
Connor was for several years a volunteer at our office. Luckily for us, we convinced him to make veterinary medicine a career. Connor is from Michigan and now calls Memphis home. He calls Memphis “other things,” however, during the hot summer months.
Jackie Glover
An outstanding new addition to our staff! Jackie has an Animal Science Degree from UT-Martin and is current on her veterinary literature, surgery, and clinical techniques. She has also had considerable ICU and ER experience at Memphis Veterinary Specialists. Jackie is from Memphis and loves kitties more than anything but is fond of all the pets we see. Her favorite pastimes are snacking and napping...haha!
Aubrey Carmony
Aubrey is a friendly individual who shows compassion and sympathy for everyone and treats them with respect. This also applies to animals as she has always had a love for them. Growing up she had a number of creatures and critters from dogs to hermit crabs. Currently, she has three cats, two rabbits, a bearded dragon, a Jackson chameleon, two crested geckos, some tarantulas, and some scorpions. There are many more animals she would love to experience as her companions and to learn more about. She couldn't be more excited to be a part of this team and feels as though this was what she was meant to do with her life.
Megan Swims
Megan was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She has worked for over a decade in the animal care world and loves pets of all kinds. She currently resides in North Mississippi with her husband, two children, two dogs, and a cat...and soon to be some Guinea pigs!!! Megan has somewhat of a "dry" sense of humor and fits right in with the rest of the crew!
Melanie Simmonds
After more than 25 years as a paralegal software trainer, Melanie felt led to increase her knowledge and capacity to help animals. She is very excited to have been welcomed to the team! She is the Director of Soft Landings Waterfowl Rescue, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and met Dr. Pope and his staff through the rescue. Soft Landings specializes in domestic waterfowl that have been abandoned in public spaces, and she personally has a great love of all things with feathers. Her own flock includes 30-something various ducks and geese (many of whom are special needs), four special needs chickens, and an Amazon parrot. She also has 4 cats. In her spare time, she enjoys knitting, crochet, and cross stitch.
